Our resorts at a glance
HOTEL FEDERICO II - Jesi
This year we decided to base ourselves in the heart of the Marche region,
in the marvelous Hotel Federico II di Jesi, immersed in over 22,000 square meters of private park,
just 4 km from the historic city center. With a Spa of over 350 square meters it hosts tepidarium,
Turkish bath, Roman sudarium, Finnish sauna, Jacuzzi and much more.
For the more athletic, the hotel offers a heated semi-Olympic pool and a well-equipped gym.
1st STAGE: JESI - MONTECAROTTO - CASTELLETTA - CUPRAMONTANA - JESI
We will leave from the Federico II for the first stage dedicated to the "Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi". We will cross some of the castles of Jesi from which the wine takes its name, small villages
perched on top of the hills, such as Montecarotto and Maiolati Spontini, to then face the top Scarponi, dedicated to the Marche champion, in the Castelletta di Fabriano district. Returning to Jesi we will
stop in the Sartarelli winery in Cupramontana, for a tasting of Verdicchio with some typical local products.
Route: 76 km | 1.580 mt elevation
2nd STAGE: JESI - OFFAGNA - SIROLO - SANTA MARIA NUOVA - JESI
The 2nd day is dedicated to the most famous red wine of the Marche region:
the "Rosso Conero". From Jesi, descending from the rolling hills along scenic
roads with breathtaking views, we will begin to breathe the sea breeze,
entering the territory of the Monte Conero park. Passing through Sirolo, called the "Pearl of Conero",
we will stop for a tasting at the Angeli di Varano winery with some “Rosso Conero” and a selection of typical local products.
Route: 96 km | 1.567m elevation
3rd STAGE: JESI - BARBARA- ARCEVIA - CORINALDO - MORRO D’ALBA - JESI
On the last day, touching picturesque medieval villages, like Arcevia and Castellone
di Suasa, we will head to Corinaldo, a small town strategically located,
known as the "land of fools" not because the people living there is mentally ill,
but because they're clever, irreverent and astute people, that faces life with strength
and ingenuity. From here we will enter the territory of the "Lacrima di Morro D’alba",
a still little known red wine, much appreciated by women, that we'll taste in the historic
cellar "Filo di Vino". Passing the last castle of the hills, San Marcello, we will return to the hotel to end the "Marche Bike and Wine Tour 2019".
Route: 102 km | 1.510 mt elevation
